What is the Thermage process?
-
The Thermage
experience begins with a consultation in our office, to
determine what your expectations are, and whether or not you
qualify to have this treatment. All questions will be
answered at this visit. Just a clue about how some people
structure their treatments, many people opt to get this
treatment about every six months to ensure a tighter
appearance for a long time. The reason people opt to get
more than one treatment is that even though the results of
these treatments have been touted as being “permanent”, time
keeps moving on and eventually your skin will show aging
from whatever time has lapsed.

After your
initial consultation, your nurse will set an appointment for
you and you will follow the pre-treatment suggestions. Your
treatment in the office will start with a deep cleansing and
the application of a grid which will ensure that every inch
of the area being treated will have equal time from the
pulses. Your treatment could take up to two hours, depending
on the size of the area being treated.

How does Thermage
treatment feel?
 Unlike
some people’s perception, Thermage does not have to be
torture. The truth is that if your nurse keeps you
within the known effective range of energy, your
treatment should be successful. When the treatment is
over, you should feel fine, and you can go about your
day with confidence that no one will be asking you what
happened to your skin. You may, however, feel some
slight discomfort in some of the areas treated, and you
may want to apply some makeup right after the treatment
as you can appear somewhat flushed.
Finally,
something to expect is that when you are discharged from
our service, we will follow up with you to make sure you
are doing everything that supports the success of not
only this treatment, but also that you will begin to
practice some new habits that will ensure the longevity
of the results of your treatment.
Some of
our outstanding in-spa and home treatments are designed
to target the SOURCE of aging, not the “signs” of aging
like most products out there claim. These treatments are
recommended to use before, after and between treatments,
no matter which treatment you opt to receive.
